Since SPOP have been trickling the behind the scenes photos of Jasper's solo August shoot, I thought I'd compile them all together here for your viewing pleasure. Just look at his adorable smile!

SETTV and SPOP have released a number of photos from Jasper's solo August shoot here. The article talks about Jasper celebrating his 30th birthday by going to Universal Studios Japan. He was super excited by Harry Potter world, commenting that many things he'd imagined from the book have come to life, and like a magic spell has been cast, there is the feeling of entering into another world. He visited Hogwarts and Diagon Alley and tried Butterbeer! It's so cute that he enjoyed Harry Potter world (and as a major Harry Potter fan, I totally approve).

He also enjoyed all the minion activities - eating minion steamed buns and playing with minion balloons while watching a dancing parade. The SPOP crew trailed after him to take these fun pictures for the shoot :) Even though it was work, sounds like he an awesome 30th birthday!

SPOP 華流 Magazine Update: Jasper Liu 劉以豪 SPOP 華流 August issue out now!

Probably because it was Jasper's birthday month, both the August editions of SPOP and iWalker magazine featured Jasper as their cover star! SPOP not only had him on one cover, but he took out the triple cover shot. Jasper's had solo shoot before, but to take out a triple cover by himself really shows his popularity with SETTV/ Sanlih/ SPOP, as well as with fans in recent years :) Which cover is your favourite? I love the dreamy-looking second cover.

The special edition (the last cover) comes with some goodies in the form of collectible Jasper stickers and cards. So adorable. SPOP made a 'gotta catch 'em all' joke with the Jasper covers :)

SPOP 華流 Magazine Update: 1989一念間 Back to 1989 SPOP 華流 June issue out now!

Because Back to 1989 has been quite popular with rising ratings, and is ending it's run on Taiwanese television this month, SPOP has given the show a second magazine cover. But this time only with Marcus Chang...I would have loved another Ivy and Marcus shoot...But I'm not complaining either. Marcus Chang is a total good-looking guy and a rising star at the moment. 

This issue is more of a closing look at the series rather than an entire photo shoot concept. There's a photo shoot with the side cast members of Back to 1989, a recap of the series with some pretty still from the series and additional behind the scenes content with Marcus Chang as his character Chen Che. It seems to be similar to this issue of SPOP which covered the end of Pleasantly Surprised (with a photo shoot featuring side characters, a detailed recap of the series and additional photos from the previous photo shoot of Puff and Jasper). 

1989一念間 Back to 1989 Fan Meet and SPOP 華流 Signing Translation Summary

I didn't attend this fan meet obviously. But I will be going back in time (haha) to do a translation summary for this fan meet. Translation Summary = A translation that is not a line-by-line translation, but will cover a large portion of the event :) I really love the dynamics between Mini Tsai, Marcus Chang and Ivy Shao...All those mother and son jokes made me laugh so much!

These 3 are simply beautiful. So it's no surprise that they were called in to do a photo shoot together. Seeing as Back to 1989's story line revolves around the main character's strained relationship with his mother, as well as his blossoming relationship with a girl from 1989, it made perfect sense to have both Mini Tsai and Ivy Shao accompany Marcus Chang for the spread. The three had perfect chemistry as you'll see (if you haven't already) in the SPOP behind the scenes video.

With these vintage print outfits and backdrops, these photos are a big improvement on previous SPOP shoots. It's great to see the magazine head towards a more natural photo shoot direction - away from just coloured backdrops. Although I've been late to order a copy, and late in posting about it, I am looking forward to receiving my copy of this issue!

SPOP 華流 Magazine Update: 1989一念間 Back to 1989 SPOP 華流 May issue out now!

The beautiful trio of Marcus Chang, Ivy Shao and Mini Tsai have been gracing the cover of the May issue for a month now...In fact it's pretty much coming to the June issue of SPOP. They also already did a fan meet and an SPOP signing for this issue.I'm sad that I couldn't go, but I will translate the live streaming video of the fan meet on this blog, as well as the behind the scenes video for this photo shoot. Anyway, I thought I'd share the marketing collateral for the May SPOP, which also included additional Bromance posters.  

Magazine Scans: Bromance 愛上哥們 x SPOP 華流 Special Edition Photo cards

When I first saw this, I thought that Megan and Baron were gracing a third magazine cover with special photo cards. I don't know why. Maybe because it seemed like the Jumbo special edition SPOP issues that sometimes come out....Anyway, it turned out that this wasn't a magazine at all...just a collector's box with photo cards and a giant framed photo that you could prop up on an easel. Still the pictures are pretty, so I've scanned them and put them up here for your enjoyment :)
