Someday or One Day 想見你, Crashing Landing on You 사랑의 불시착 & others Nominated for Busan International Film Festival's (BIFF) Asia Contents Awards 2020

Looks like Someday or One Day is still going strong in the Awards and Festivals circles with the series nominated in two categories at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) Asia Contents Awards. Theses awards are only in their 2nd year and have been established to celebrate media across different countries and different types of medium, such as television.

Someday or One Day is nominated in the categories of:

• Best Creation
• Best Asian Drama

The Best Drama Category will be a competition between the following dramas:

• Someday or One Day (Taiwan)
• The Victim's Game (Taiwan)
• The Bad Kids (China)
• Crash Landing on You (Korea)
• The World of the Married (Korea)

The Best Creation will be a competition between the following dramas

• Someday or One Day (Taiwan)
• Last Madame (Singapore)
• The Bad Kids (China)
• Hyena (Korea)
• Crash Landing on You (Korea)
• When the Camelias Bloom (Korea)
• Kingdom (Korea)

In other news, Joseph Chang has also been nominated in the category of Best Actor for his role in The Victim's Game. Good luck to Joseph!

For  Some Day or One Day, this will be a really tough competition since Crash Landing on You was equally well loved and innovative as a drama. And while I loved those two series, I also really enjoyed The Victim's Game and Kingdom. And to add to that, When the Camellias Bloom and The World of the Married  have had the critics' ticks of approval this past year. Nonetheless, it's an honour for Some Day or One Day to get a nod at these awards as the drama was quite popular in Korea for a Taiwanese series. I'm not sure if any of the actors will be at the award show, or if it'll just be the Director/Scriptwriters representing the series since Covid has made it difficult to travel. Baeksang Art Awards 2020 reunites Crash Landing on You 사랑의 불시착 actors Hyun Bin 현빈 and Son Ye-Jin 손예진

Not going to lie, I was really late with watching Crash Landing on You. But I finished it not long ago and loved it. I would say it's been the best drama I've watched in a long time - Definitely my favourite drama of this year. Everything from the chemistry of the leads to the world building of North Korea was wonderful. The story had a lot of heart and excitement, with great pacing and minimal drag. And pretty much all of the characters were likeable. I was a little depressed finishing it so late however because it meant I'd missed out on all behind the scenes stuff as it was filming...

This is why I'm so happy that that Baeksang Art Awards were presented recently on the 5th June reuniting the some of the cast of Crash Landing on You. The most important being Hyun Bin and Son Je-Yin, of course. Crash Landing on You didn't take out the major prizes, but still did ok with 3 little wins. This year's awards were very, very strange due to social distancing requirements - super spaced out and pretty much just industry people. But better safe than sorry. Still Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin were seated next to each other and had several cute moments of misses glances as media and shipper fans have pointed out when they were announced as winners of the TikTok fan popularity award. 

It was lovely for Hyun Bin to acknowledge all those having hardships at the moment and for Son Ye-Jin to shout out to her International fans, so far as to say Thanks in English.

 As well as an official speech, they also made a Tik Tok speech to all their fans, which you can watch above in the videos.

All these official pictures are lovely, but the pictures that have been sending fans mad have been those of the missed glances as they were called up for the awards. I love how some fans have just made their own photo evidence of out of the award videos they've watched.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin were not the only actors from Crash Landing at the Awards. Seo Ji-Hye, who plays Seo Dan, was also in attendance and won an icon award. Kim Sun-Young, who played the village leader Na Wol Suk, scored big with Best Supporting Actress for Crash Landing on You. Also spotted was Kim Young-Min, who plays the lovable and timid Jeong Man-Bok and Park Myang-Hoon, Seo Dan's Uncle (or otherwise known as the actor who played the creepiest character in Parasite).
