Anyway, on to the BTS...There's some really cute scenes this week where Jasper says he admires Puff's ability to cry (during the scene's where Ah Jie is shouting at KQ)...and he just wanted to stop her from crying. Aw...haha, and there's funny footage of everyone pretending to comfort each other while crying...Enjoy!
Jasper is totally suave in this BTS episode as he spends most of it in a suit :D...
1. Lene preparing for the chili eating scene
[Pink caption: Lene tries eating chilies]
Lene is chewing on a chili and a crew member hands her a drink in a plastic take-away cup.
-Cuts to a moment later and she's jumped up a little in her chair, turning pink and fanning herself with her script-
[Blue caption near Lene: I want to cry!]
Lene: This face of mine has become so red!
Lene: Just then, in that moment ("twinkling of a moment"), it was very hot. But now it's all good.
Lene makes a big sigh
Lene: Let's just use this one then (looking at the chili)
Crew members are laughing. [Purple and white captions: Foolish, elder sister attitude]
Still laughing
Lene looking up innocently at crew members: No, seriously. I'm saying this seriously.
Lene: I'm serious!
2. Zooey testing the chili's
[Pink and white captions: (We) Found Zooey, (the member) of the Drama crew who is most incapable of eating hot foods to help test eat the chili's.]
Zooey: I'm going to try eating the chili's
Camera person: Why?
Zooey: Lene has to film (a scene eating them), so we're going to first help her to test eat them to see if they'll be hot. (Puts the chili in her mouth and bits off the tip and starts chewing).
[Purple and White caption: You have compassion/love for your workmates!]
Zooey starts making a face. [Black caption pointing to Zooey: (Her) Expression is complicated]
Chews some more blinks.
Zooey: Seems like it's not hot.
Hold up chili with her right hand and says to the camera
Zooey: This one doesn't seem that hot
Camera person: What's the difference between the one of the right side and the one on the left side?
Zooey (holding up chili on the left side) [Black caption pointing to chili]: This one is soaked in white white
Zooey (holding up chili on the right side) [Yellow caption pointing to chili]: This one is soaked in vinegar
Zooey: (The one) Soaked in vinegar isn't hot
Happily bites into the vinegar soaked chili with a huge smile.
Camera person: Then what about this one?
Zooey looks up and grabs the new chili bringing it into the frame.
Zooey: This one is...one that isn't soaked (in anything)..heh
[White and pink caption]: Very hot!
Zooey: So it's not one that I'll eat for your viewing pleasure (laughs...falls away to the right)
3. Filming the actual chili eating scene
Lene: I'm here!
Lene: Le Xuan is here!
Camera person: Eating chili's?!
[Red caption: Excited!]
All the crew members are teasing her
Crew: Eating chili, eating chili
-Cuts to Sean talking to the camera-
Sean: So it's soaked in vinegar? (looks disbelieving or amazed)
Crew member: Right!
Sean frowns at the chili in the glass bowl he's holding.
[Yellow and white thinking bubble: Can it even be eaten?]
Sean: Should be even more...
Crew are moving the background. Sean pauses for want of an expression...
Sean: The flavour/taste would be even more unusual, right? (Has moved the glass bowl closer to his face and is frowning at it still as he examines it)
-Cuts to Sean talking to the camera-
Sean: It stinks...
Camera zooms to the chili in the glass bowl now sitting on the table.
Sean: Seems like it's rotten
Sean [White and yellow caption across sean]: It's got a bit of a fermented flavour...(chuckles looking down at the Chili)
-Cuts to Lene as LX, chili in mouth, about to film the scene-
Director: Le Xuan has bitten half the chili in her mouth.
Director: (You) Don't necessarily have to chew
Director: Do you understand this meaning?
Lene: No chewing?
Sean walks in and leans over to look at how Lene's doing.
Director: Not necessarily. If you want to chew, that's ok too. Up to you.
Director: Not biting is not ok, though
-Cuts to Lene as LX looking very worried, chili in mouth, head bowed down leaning on the locker-
Director: Right. This way of biting the chili is good.
Director: Come (let's film)
Crew member: 5,4,3,2...
Lene as LX, is biting and chewing on the chili...
Goes into the actual filming of the scene where Sean as Head Chef walks in, turns and sees LX's back huddled against the locker and looks surprised.
Lene as LX is chewing and looking very sad.
Sean as HC: Le Xuan? (looks surprised as HC to find her there)
[White and yellow thinking bubble caption expressing what Sean is probably really thinking and surprised about: Isn't it just holding it in your mouth enough?!]
Sean as HC exclaims: Well, turns out it's you! Isn't it that you can't handle hot foods?!
4. Sean and Lene post-chili scene shooting
The scene is complete and someone has passed Lene the plastic cup and straw with water and she's coughing quite a bit.
Sean: How did we not help her to make those...duck lips?! (touching his as if they were bigger)
Lene laughs and Sean does too.
Camera person: Sausage lips?
Sean: Right!
-Cuts to Sean wiping away his sweaty forehead with a towel-
[Pink caption pointing to Sean: In the middle of spraying sweat]
Crew member: She (Lene) clearly was the one who just ate a chili...why are you sweating?!
Sean, pleasantly to the camera person as he continues to wipe away his sweat: I saw her eating the chili and I felt very hot ---Sean, such a funny troll!---
Points to Lene, where the camera zooms
Sean: Furthermore, her chili is leaking out.
But it's actually the water Lene is drinking that has dripped onto her uniform. ---Maybe he means that the chili on her lips, which has contaminated the water, leaking down on her---
Lene chuckles and wipes her nose, the after-effects of chili-eating.
-Cuts to Lene to the camera-
Lene [White, yellow and red captions]: I feel like my stomach is burning up a bit
She laughs and goes back to sucking on water in her cup through her straw.
Crew member: Was it hot?
Crew member: Didn't we help you to soak it beforehand in something?
Lene is walking away when asked and answers as she walks: Yeah, it was comparatively less hot
-Cuts to Lene sitting on a couch and Sean sitting on the arm of the couch, not yet in view-
Sean: I thought, when she turned around...
-Camera zooms to Sean's face
Sean: I would see that...Tony Leung's...those... (making lip motions with his lips over his mouth) ---Tony Leung is a Hong Kong actor...and he's been in a comedy role where his lips look swelled up---
Sean is laughing. A picture of Tony Leung in said role pops up [Pink caption: Are you talking about me?!]
Sean: Thick lips (laughs more)
Camera person: Which kind (likeness to thick lips) are you thinking of?
Sean keep laughing
Crew member: Thick lips are really that funny.
Sean makes a mock surprised face.
Sean: I'd be like, What happened? I would say, "Whoa, sexy" (makes a checking-her-out face) ---haha, hilarious! They picked a bunch of jokers for the guys on this drama :D ---
Sean to Lene: You can make them yourself
Lene to Sean: Then, you make them to show me...
-Cuts to close up of Sean's face. Sean is making fat lips with his tongue, his eyebrows screwed together in concentration-

5. Stanley, Yorke and Jasper (also Lin Pei, who plays the man-crazy maid at Figuro) playing a Puzzle game

Yorke to camera: We're about to play a puzzle game. This game is just... Mr Stanley Mei kept...Mr Xiao Shu (that is Stanley's character name) kept not having any way to solve (this problem).
Someone in the background: Mind blocked
Yorke: Come...so it's just like this...
Sings the next line because it's a lyric from the song that the crew perform for KQ
Yorke: "All this is for you"...this is one (does a heart shaped hand motion to accompany the song lyrics)
Yorke: Pay close attention, ok?
Yorke, in slightly different pitch: "All this is for you"...this is two
Yorke: Good/ Done
Camera shifts across to Stanley
Stanley to camera: Esteemed audience friends...could you see the difference (between the two)?
Stanley [Blue and white captions]: I've been mind-blocked about this for about a week!
Stanley to Yorke: Come on, let's compare it one more time
Camera zooms back to Yorke.
Stanley: Come on, I want to guess
Yorke: ok, starting
Yorke: Pay close attention
Yorke sings out that line again: "All this is for you"...which one is this?
Stanley: One
Sean is dancing behind Stanley doing rabbit ears/ peace signs with his fingers.
Yorke: No, this is two
Stanley: One more time...
-Cuts to Jasper sitting there-
Female crew member: Yi Hao ge (Jasper), do you know it?
Jasper shakes his head and makes a face

Jolin: This is a defintion game. It's actually two lines, that has a spot where they are different, it could be expression [lime green caption], it could be hand gestures [red caption], it could be words [yellow caption]...you must pay attention listening...(looks coolly at the camera) ---haha, a great suss expression there for Jolin---
-Cuts back to Jasper and Stanley playing the game again-
Jasper: Not feeling too cheerful/happy?
Stanley: (shakes head with a frown) I'm not too happy
[red caption between Stanley and Jasper: Not happy!]
Stanley: I've been played for a week. An entire week [Blue and yellow captions] I feel like the higher the IQ, the harder it is to understand (this game)...Because we tend to over-think (or speculate) on logic.
Jasper: (slightly frowning in concentration as he talks to Stanley and the camera) I was just thinking, is it (something to do with) when he asks, "which one is this"?
Stanley: Right, I also just thought of that before.
Jasper: "Which one is this?" these words would definately (be when the answer was) one. When he wouldn't ask, (the answer would be) two.
Jasper: But later, (we) discovered it actually wasn't this way. (Looks disappointed)
Jasper: Or how about when he bumps into that joint place (in the song) (Jasper is joinning his fingers together and doing the actions Yorke was doing to the song)
Stanley: (looking eye to eye with Jasper who is turned in his direction) Right, I only just thought, "Is it this"? [Black caption pointing to Stanley and Jasper: A team of 2 mind-blocked people who are quite carefully analysing (the issue)]
Jasper (grinning as he looks at Stanley): Or...is it the hand gestures for "youuu"?
Stanley: (waves a pointed finger around in agreement) Right, I was only just thinking, "Is it these two things"? ---haha, no offence, but Stanley really does remind me of his character here...claiming some credit for the ideas, but no new suggestions :P---
Jasper: (shifting in his sitting position and talking to Yorke) What other areas....What other areas are there different changes?
Yorke: Do you want to try it again?
Stanley: Ok
-Cuts to Lin-
[Pink and white caption: Verna tells you all the secret first]
Verna: Hi! Verna will explain for the sake of the audience. Good. (She sings the lines and does the hand gestures) "All this is for you" is one. Pay close attention. "All this is for you" is two. [Pink captions says the same thing]. It's actually in the middle of 1 and 2 there's been the addition of the words "Pay close attention"...so any line said with the words "Pay close attention" is two (she does a really cute peace sign looking number 2 with her fingers)...do you understand the explaination? (she says this in a funny, sing-song tone waving her finger about and doing a little dance)
-Cuts back to Jasper and Stanley again-
Stanley: Very cheap!
Yorke: Ok, pay attention. "All this is for you"
Jasper cuts in quickly: This is one!

Jasper to Stanley, pointing at Yorke: Very cheap (trick)
Stanley to Jasper, pointing around: Why is it they all will know what it will be?
Yorke is laughing very hard at this point.
[Purple and white caption: haha... actually, even the viewers know this]
Yorke turns around to talk to the camera: I feel the anyone watching on the side would feel that it's very funny!
Jasper making a vaing motion.
Jasper: He's doing it on purpose! He's purposely does this...
(Both Jasper and Stanley sing and do the hand motions)
Jasper and Stanley: "All this is for you"
Jasper and Stanley: Then again, "All this is for you"
Jasper, pointing at Yorke who is still laughing: Indecent. Really!

Stanley to Jasper while drinking his drink with a straw: Ok, I'll use listening and you use watching
Jasper: (rolls head forward, looking fed up) Ok
Someone in background (maybe Sean) says: Perhaps it has no relation with the position of the tone/ pronunciation of sound...
Stanley: No... I feel like they're just trying to misguide us again (hands on hips and slightly shaking his head as he says this. Jasper is just staring at Sean. Sean is laughing in the background.)
Yorke: Pay close attention
Yorke: "All this is for you" (with hand motions...very slowly singing and motioning to them)
[Blue caption pointing to Yorke: Changes vocal music]
Stanley: He's even changed the vocal music...
Jasper with mock disgust says: This indecent person (laughs)
Stanley: He's even changed the vocal music!
The boys look fed up and are thinking hard and feeling a little frustrated.
[Red caption: There's no logic!]
Yorke is laughing in the background.
Stanley: It's not right...I'm really...Right now, I'm really am confuse(d)
Yorke: This is very fun
Jasper, sulky smile: Being played roughly/bullied is not fun...
Stanley: Really. I feel that is not making me very happy (shakes head)
Jasper makes a big sigh.

After seeing this, Stanley looks even more confused...and not sure if Jasper is in despair or thinking super hard...he's bent down so his head is resting on his hand, his knuckles supporting the middle of his forehead. ---haha, poor guys!---

-Jasper suddenly jumps up from his hunched seated position with a squeal and is walking out the room- ---ahahaha...oh my, his voice is quite high pitched here---

Female crew member: No, that's one (laughs)
Jasper to Stanley: Answered correctly (extends hand to shake with Stanley)

Stanley: Yea! (points at camera)
Camera crew: What is it?
Stanley: It's just...I'll compare for you (to see)...(turns to Jasper to get his help explaining)...

Jasper and Stanley are both grinning excitedly

There's a looong pause.
Stanley: One
Yorke bursts out laughing, doubles over laughing towards the camera
Yorke: You don't know (what it is)! (says in a laughing growling voice)
Camera goes close to Jasper
Jasper, laughs: I don't know what it is
Jasper, laughing: They're laughing like they're so satisfied...I'm very unsatisfied! (points to Sean and the others watching on the side).
Sean stands up on the table nearby, makes a funny judgemental face and points down to Stanley and Jasper.
Sean [Red caption]: You don't know!
Everyone is laughing pretty hard
Camera zooms back to Jasper...
Jasper, laughing: I know (what it is)! (waving a finger about)
Jasper, laughing [Yellow caption, Blue caption, Red caption] : Just made a mistake, Just made a mistake!...Just made a mistake (laughing)...One more time...
Yorke: "All this is for you" (With hand motion)
Jasper, quickly: This is two!
Yorke falls over laughing: One!
Jasper, looking confused, spinning his finger around: Then I've been made confused (reversed)...(laughs)...one more time...one more time...(looks back at Yorke laughing)
Stanley shakes his head and walks away
Stanley: I don't care anymore, I don't care anymore [Pink caption pointing to Stanley: Gives up]
Turns his head back to the camera to say, as he walks away...
Stanley: I'm going to go film the show...
Sean: See you later! (laughing in the corner)
-Cuts to Verna again-
Little black and white photos of Stanley and Jasper pop up next to Verna as she's talking. [White caption: Broadcasting to the mind-blocked brothers (fraternity) that still don't know the answer]
Verna, talking to the camera: Jasper, Xiao Shu, doesn't matter. This is only what smart people would know....(starts twirling her hair) hmmm...who told you to pick Kai Qi and not me? hmmm, Xiao Shu, who told you to reject me from the start? No matter now... (starting laughing very loudly and pointing to the camera ---hehe Verna is so cute and suits her character quite well :D ---
Verna: (goes back to twirling hair and looking at the camera) I'm the smart one!
6. Filming when AJ's brother is found
-This is in the actual scene for the drama. The hospital crew are pushing his bed towards the doctors, spinning Zhi Xiang's bed around so the doctor can examine the found kidnap victim -
Doctor: Quickly push to this side for me to examine him!
Hospital staff spin the bed around [Pink bubbles around Vic: Dizzy, dizzy]
Pei Lian as AJ's mum: Zhi Xiang! (Eldest) Brother! ---haha in Chinese, you can just use the position of your child in the family casually...and some people interchange it with their kid's name, like AJ's mum---
AJ's family run into the ward and the doctor tries to stop them from comnig in. [Pink bubbles around Vic: Dizzy, dizzy]. Vic as Zhi Xiang has just been pushed in a full circle on his bed.
-Cuts to Vic sitting upright on the bed after the scene with all his fake injuries talking to the camera, Pei Lian on the side-
Vic: I'm very dizzy
Pei Lian: Because he kept being pushed round...and round...and round... (Vic is drawing circles in the air as she speaks to show what he's been through!)
Pei Lian: Dizzying here, dizzying there (laughs)
Camera on Vic only again.
Vic: In a moment, I'm going to spend the whole day laying down.
Vic: Watching all of them act (points to his "family" somewhere on the side)
-Cuts to Pei Lian on the side with Jasper, Vic sitting on the bed looking at them and a hospital staff-
Pei Lian, shaking her head: Let a senior (member of older generation) tell you...Laying down to earn (your money) is not really a (good) way of earning (your money)...(smiling, she makes a giant cross with her arms)
Pei Lian: Right
Vic makes a face at her
Pei Lian: It's very pitiful/pathetic (She's only teasing him :D)
7. Filming when AJ loses it
-Filming of the actual scene where Jasper is crying and looking at the medal his brother gave him. KQ touches him on the arm and he spins around and loses it-
Jasper, as AJ, spins around: Don't touch me!
Director: Stop. We're up to here.
As soon as Director calls cut, Jasper starts acting the joker,,,
He says something to Puff very in a very loud voice being pretend-mad that sounds like Homewrecker! And then turns around back to look at his medal.---Unfortunately, I don't know the actual word. It doesn't sound like Mandarin, so I'm assuming it's in the Taiwanese dialect of Chinese...I'm just guessing what the word is out of my own wild deduction...but let me know if you do understand it. But even the way he says it is funny, though he's acting all pretend serious!---
Everyone bursts out laughing and Puff is laughing alot, despite having to cry for the scene.
-Cuts to the director instructing Jasper how to act in the scene-
Director to Jasper, waving his hands in direction of mum and dad: Look more at your "mum" and "dad"
Pei Lian pouting to Director: He's just that afraid of looking at me!
Pei Lian: His mother
Director: Sure, no doubt this occurs
Pei Lian [Blue caption]: It's been too long!
[Pink Caption: He's afraid of looking at her too! (meaning the director!)]
Director: Yup. He'll be that way
Director: I'm sort of afraid of looking at you myself...
Pei Lian laughs...
8. The Crying Scenes
Jasper: Puff is really very amazing. (She) Just kept crying and crying.
Jasper: (She) Helped me to keep crying correctly for the scene
Jasper puts two fingers to his eyes making the actions of tears running down his face and makes a faux crying sound.
Jasper: I said to her, "Please stop crying, ok?" (laughs)
-Cuts to the filming of the scene-
Jasper, as AJ shouting: Du Kai Qi!
Jasper, as AJ, shouting: When did you become so selfish?
Puff, as KQ, barely audible: I'm so sorry...
Jasper is moving his arm to touch Puff
Crew member: Ahhh...face! Face! (I think they mean they want to film Puff's face and Jasper is getting in the way)
Jasper caresses Puff on the arm.
[Red caption indicating Jasper seeing Puff cry: Heart-ache/Heart-broken]
Jasper, in a much, much gentler voice, and looking a little pained: Please don't cry, please don't cry
Puff turns to the camera, her eyes very, very teary.
Puff to camera, in same barely audible voice: I'm so sorry
Camera person: He got so mad at you that it made you cry?
Puff brings her arm up over her nose and mouth, smiling a tiny bit as her eyes are still teary ---here, I have to say, Puff looks pretty even when she cries! When I cry, I'm pink and my eyes look puffy :s ---
-Cuts to Camera person talking to Puff in the same spot, Puff still super teary-
Camera person [Yellow and white caption]: Did we just get you (crying) on film?
Puff, still crying quite a bit, her voice thick from crying [Red caption]: Didn't you?!
She laughs, though she's still very teary and you can hear from her voice that she's very obviously been crying.
-Cuts to Pei Lian hugging Puff-
Pei Lian, hugging Puff and patting her on the shoulder: I know you've been scared by him!
[Purple caption: Crying so much that she can't stop]
Pei Lian: Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, don't be afraid... (patting and hugging Puff)
-Cuts to Jasper teary eyed walking around the hospital and talking straight into the camera-
Jasper [Pink caption]: Why is it that no one wants to comfort me?
Vic (who is just coming into view, laughing): Come here. Big brother has risen up (from his deathbed) to comfort you...
Jasper, mock (and very dramatically) touched and crying and throwing his arms around Vic.
Jasper cries: Brother!
You can see Vic grinning as he hugs Jasper back. The camera is filming him on the side where all the fake blood and injuries are.
Female crew member, walking past: The big brother has risen up (from his deathbed)!
All the crew members around her laughing
Jasper to the camera, dramatically-touched, voice-breaking and laughing says:
Jasper: My Brother held me!
Vic, in his usual calm, troll manner: (Of course.) I was so moved by him that I had to rise up (from my death-bed)...
You can hear Jasper muttering as he walks off screen
Jasper, voice breaking and sounding like a kid: It was very scary...(That his zombie brother came to comfort him!)
Vic smiles at the camera

Jasper has laughed so hard he's actually turned around in his chair.
Crew member to Verna: (laughing) (You did that) Stoutly and implacably...
Crew member: (Chuckles) You just need to put it on top, that'd be fine. Why did you have to thrust it and push it into the bread?!
Verna is laughing so hard she'd thrown her head back. Jasper is smacking his thigh and the table from laughing. All of a sudden after a loud smack, he's composed himself.

Verna chewing her bread nervously

As soon as Director calls cut, Jasper starts acting the joker,,,
He says something to Puff very in a very loud voice being pretend-mad that sounds like Homewrecker! And then turns around back to look at his medal.---Unfortunately, I don't know the actual word. It doesn't sound like Mandarin, so I'm assuming it's in the Taiwanese dialect of Chinese...I'm just guessing what the word is out of my own wild deduction...but let me know if you do understand it. But even the way he says it is funny, though he's acting all pretend serious!---
Everyone bursts out laughing and Puff is laughing alot, despite having to cry for the scene.
-Cuts to the director instructing Jasper how to act in the scene-
Director to Jasper, waving his hands in direction of mum and dad: Look more at your "mum" and "dad"
