I thought I'd get over making 'filming location travel posts', but a year of Covid has made me miss travel more than ever. As a result, I've compiled all the filming locations for Do do sol sol la la sol into a post. The drama is set in an idyllic and peaceful town called Eunpo, which is not a real place. But there's no need to be sad because all the Eunpo scenes was filmed at a seaside town called Mokpo...so Mokpo is the real life version of Eunpo!
Mokpo has piqued my interest ever since this drama started as it looks like a very cute and colourful town. This sleepy little fishing village was revived for tourist a few years back and has been used as a filming location for a couple of projects. The popular drama Hotel Del Luna filmed some of its scenes here (For those who don't know, the beautiful ghost hotel from the drama is actually The Mokpo Modern History Museum!) The film 1987: When the Day Comes was also filmed in Mokpo. Like Do do sol sol la la sol, the film set has been preserved for tourists to visit and take photos.
In this post I've listed the details for 8 filming locations. Some locations contain 2 places close by, so in reality, there's probably over 10 filming locations, as well as a number of bonus attractions and cafes (associated with the filming locations) that you can visit. It took awhile to compile this list, so if you want to share any content, please give credit to 'These Dramatic Days Blog.' Thanks!
Please Note: None of these photos are mine - please see below pictures for the credits and like the photos on the accounts of the photo takers :)
1. Lala Land Piano School / Jun's house & Jin's Hairdressing Salon - Borimadang-ro near Sihwa Alley 서산동시화골목
Address: 8-28 Borimadang-ro, Seosan-dong, Mokpo-si, Jeollanam-do
Korean Address: 전남 목포시 서산동 8-28
(Lala Land/ Jun's house & Jin's Hairdressing Salon is at this location, however Google maps has not updated the image to reflect what it currently looks like, which is pictured below)
In the drama, Jun lives in an old converted flower shop which is situated next to the hairdressing salon where Ha Yeong's mother works. Both Jun and Lala spend a lot of time here because it's Jun's place, but also because it's where Lala runs her piano academy.
After filming finished for Do do sol sol la la sol, they decided to keep the sets intact as a walk-in tourist location which fans can now visit. They have refurbished the inside of Lala Land and put a number of props and photos on display including a soft toy version of Mimi. They also moved the rainbow piano from the park into this location. The hair dressing salon next door is also a walk-through space - visitors can sit in the chair where all the '5cm-taller-haircuts' were given!
The street where the sets are located (Borimadang-ro) is an observation point over the colourful town. It's situated on the northern border of the Seosan neighbourhood, which is also where Sihwa Alley is, so it overlooks the whole of this area. I've provided more information about Sihwa Alley in the Bonus Location section below.

Bonus Travel Location: Seosan & Sihwa Alley
A few of the scenes in Do do sol sol la la sol were shot in Silwa Alley, but as the houses probably belong to real people, I don't think anyone has provided the addresses for those filming locations. However, locals walking around the Seosan neighbourhood and Sihwa Alley have taken photos of the houses that appear in the drama, so they're probably not all that difficult to find.
What exactly is Silwa Alley, you may ask? It's actually a mural village, similar to Gamcheon Culture Village in Busan, but apparently more authentic (according to a number of travel blogs.) Like Gamcheon, the neighbourhood was revived because younger generations were choosing life in the cities rather than Mokpo. To encourage visitors and new potential residents, Mokpo city revived the buildings using art. 'Sihwa' refers to the poems and pictures painted on the walls of this charming little town. Apparently some of these are done by residents! There's also a number of cafes and little art houses to explore here as well.

2. Jun's Cafe Workplace - Mokpo Youth Guesthouse 목포 청춘 게스트하우스Address: 39 Dalseong-gil, Mogwon-dong, Mokpo-si, Jeollanam-do, South Korea
Korean Address: 전남 목포시 달성길 39

In Do do sol sol la la sol, one of Jun's many jobs is at a cafe. Ha Yeong, Seung Gi and Lala often come to the cafe and eat there while watching Jun work, so his boss calls them 'Jun's fan club.'
The cafe featured in the drama is actually Mokpo Youth Guesthouse, which is more like a hostel than a cafe, though it does have a small cafe space out the front. It's a relatively new guesthouse that only opened its doors back in 2018. The interior of the cafe is pretty much the same, so you can sit at the table that the gang sat at and eat some cute looking breakfast waffles and toasties before exploring Mokpo.

3. The Pavilion where Jun and Lala cry about Jun's friend & The rockface overlooking Mokpo where Jun & Lala share a kiss when Jun returns at the end - Pavilion Daehaglu 대학루 & The rockface where the cannon is sits (near Pavilion Daehaglu 대학루) on Yudalsan/ Yudal Mountain 유달산
Address: 27-1 Jukgyo-dong, Mokpo-si, Jeollanam-do, South Korea
Korean Address: 전남 목포시 죽교동 산 27-1
(You can only see the entrance to the pavilion here)
One lovely scene where Jun opens up to Lala takes place at an observation point overlooking Mokpo. Jun mentions that his best friend passed away recently. He cries and Lala tells him it's ok to cry it all out and start fresh the next day. Then Lala proceeds to cry along with him too. Jun also happens to be here when he tells Lala he might have to move, causing her to worry that she is the one driving him away.
The observation point where all these scenes take place is Pavilion Daehaglu (대학루) on Yudalsan, a 228m mountain overlooking Mokpo. The pavilion is one of 6 on Yudalsan, the others being: Dalseongak (달선각), Yuseongak (유선각), Gwanungak (관운각), Soyojeong (소요정), and Palgakjeong (팔각정). One identifiable thing about Pavilion Daehaglu is its gates, which you see Jun and Lala leaning on in the drama. The Pavilion offers a beautiful scenic view of Mokpo and can be visited both during the day and at night.
Close to the Pavilion is another location where Jun and Lala spend a lot of time talking and gazing over the city - A rockface overlooking Mokpo. They come to sit on this rock when Jun takes Lala on a bike ride away from the hospital after her accident. They also come here when they are both reunited and Jun tells Lala that a 5 year age difference is not a big problem because he'll look after her in her old age. Finally, Jun and Lala kiss at this location at the end of the drama when Jun returns.
There are many rocks on Yudal Mountain, so it'd be hard to find the right one...but luckily in the stills from the drama, you can see the shadow of the cannon gates behind Jun and Lala. Therefore, the rock that they sit on is in front of the cannon near Pavilion Daehaglu (It is the canon with the rectangular patterned gates matching the Pavilion.) I couldn't find an exact photo of the view from the same angle, but have included a photo from a slightly higher angle (but same direction as shown in the drama).

How cute is it that Jun and Lala share their first kiss up in the sky? Jun asks Lala to go on a date with him and they end up in a cable car. While watching the sunset, Jun confesses his feelings and after holding hands, he leans over and kisses Lala. This lovely scene takes place in a cable car at Mokpo Marine Cable Cars, which is a fairly new tourist attraction that only opened in 2019. Apparently, it's the longest cable car ride in Korea at 3.23km! The ticket costs around 22,000 KRW for a round trip. The cable car arrives at a pretty observation deck where Jun, Dr Cha and a few of the other characters visit at the start of the series in the first episode.

5. The Mural where Jun asks Seung Gi about telling Lala his secret & The Convenience store where Lala, Jun, Dr Cha, Seung Gi and Ha Yeong eat ice-cream - Mokwon Mural Village 목원동감성벽화마을 (Okdanigil Tourist Route 옥단이길 ) & Precious Super Convenience Store 귀중슈퍼
Address: 344-11 Jukgyo-dong, Mokpo-si, Jeollanam-do, South Korea
Korean Address: 전라남도 목포시 죽교동 344-11
Not far down the road from the Guesthouse (which features in the drama as one of Jun's workplaces - Location No. 2 on this list) is a mural village where a number of the scenes from the drama were shot. Jun has a conversation with Seung Gi about whether he should tell Lala his secret at this waterfall staircase with flowers on the wall.
This mural is situated just opposite to the convenience store where Lala, Jun, Dr Cha, Seung Gi and Ha Yeong eat ice-cream in an earlier episode. I've put down the address of the convenience store here as it's easier to locate it on the maps compared to the mural (The mural is literally just across from the convenience store!)

6. Lala's Rainbow Piano Outdoors / The place where Lala meets Grandpa Man Bok for the first time & The Bike track where Jun takes Lala on a ride in her hospital gown - Little bike track outside Cafe Amabile 아마빌레
Address: 4-1 Sanjeong-ro 238 beon-gil, Mokpo
Korean Address: 목포시 산정로 238번길 4-1 카페 아마빌레
Opening Hours: The bike track is always open, but Cafe hours are 11am-10pm, Everyday
Google Co-ordinates & Streetview (Exact location): 34.8088638,126.3891559
(The piano is at this location, however Google maps has not updated the image to reflect what it currently looks like, which is pictured below)
When Lala is still recovering from her hand injury, she is keen to practice piano again so that she can start using her skills to earn money and pay back her debt to Jun. After discovering a communal piano in the park, she decides to start practising there. It's at this piano that she meets Grandpa Man Bok, who eventually becomes one of her piano pupils. It's also at this location that Lala thinks about proposing to Jun when he comes home for the Christmas party.
The real rainbow piano is actually available for tourists to play. However it's now been moved into the Lala Land Filming location (Location No. 1 on this list). The location where it initially sat (during filming) now contains a replica statue of the rainbow piano for photo-taking purposes.
The piano's original location is next to a bike track. It's this bike track that Jun takes Lala on a bike ride when she's still recovering from her injuries and she cries hysterically, blowing her nose on the back on his suit.

Bonus Travel Location: Cafe Amabile
I love a good cafe and as the bike track doesn't have an address, I've put the address of the cafe right in front of the piano (This seems to be the address other fans have used to find the piano location too.) Aside from overlooking theese filming location, the cafe seems to be very popular for its desserts as well as for it's glamourous movie-star vanity mirrors.

7. Where Lala and Dr Cha have meals together - Big Reaction 201 Cafe 대반동 201 at Mokpo Skywalk 목포스카이워크
Address: 2nd floor of Yudal Amusement Park, 59 Maritime Daehak-ro, Mokpo-si
Korean Address: 59 유달유원지2층도로에서는 안보이니 해변가로 내려오세요
Google Co-ordinates & Streetview: Co-ordinates unknown, but streetview here
(For some weird reason, Google lists a different address than the one on their Instagram and won't show any street view co-ordinates though it does show the correct streetview picture? Weird)
Dr Cha invites Lala out for meals with him in Mokpo when he takes an interest in her from treating her as a patient at his hospital. The restaurant they eat at is Big Reaction 201, a cafe that has a beautiful view of Mokpo bridge,
Big Reaction 201 is a fairly new space and it's open 365 days a year. Apparently you can't see the cafe from the road so you have to walk around to the beach side and walk up to the entrance of the building from there. The cafe is in the building where Mokpo Skywalk is. I've included more information about Mokpo Skywalk below.

Mokpo Skywalk is the popular tourist attraction coming out from the building where Big Reaction 201 is. It's a see-through bridge that allows those walking over it to look down into the ocean. It also gives visitors a clear view of Mokpo Bridge, which is close by.
8. The road Jun takes Lala on a bike ride along at night after finding her when she gets lost - Yudal-ro
Address: Yudal-ro, Jeollanam-do, Mokpo
Korean Address: 목포시 유달로
I don't like to include random filming locations like bus stops or walls or anything mundane since I personally wouldn't visit those places as a tourist myself. Although this location is just a road, I like it because it's where one of the most playful bike scenes occur - Jun takes Lala back on his bike after finding her when she gets lost. On the ride home he suggests that she stays with him. When she questions what they'd do about only having one room and bed, he teases her saying that she could just sleep next to him and she hits him for his cheek. This interaction and bike ride takes place on the road in front of Yudal mountain, Yudal-ro. I'll justify this location by saying it's close to Yudal mountain (Location No. 3 on this list) and it's so high up that it's an observation point with a pretty gate and therefore provides the perfect place for photos of the whole of Mokpo.

Other Locations
There's one other location that I haven't included in detail - Mokpo Samhak Elementary school . I don't think it's fun or relevant to hang around a primary school, but if you're really keen to take a quick picture of where Go Ara was standing in the drama, you can find more information here:

I've selected all the touristy filming locations I would personally visit if I actually went to Mokpo. If you're keen to do some research for other filming locations that I may have missed or may not have not listed, you can have a look at these blogs below for guidance. Some of them are in Korean, so you may need to run them through a translator website.
