Lost Romance 浪漫输给你 Episode 10 Behind the Scenes Translations

I'm only translating the Simon portion of this video as I'm more interested in that (Sorry Marcus and Vivian fans!) Also Vivian made a Qing Feng and Chu Chu joke... and my poor heart cannot handle that after this week's episode which was already the start of a series of sad misunderstandings about Qing Feng (You all know that I will never condone a Qing Feng Chu Chu ending right?! I find her an extremely irritating character). Also, there wasn't a behind the scenes bit to do with the actual kiss?? So I'm just gonna make myself feel better by translating Simon's Behind the Scenes! 

1. Simon as the Lost Romance ex-gangster masseur [1:59-4:22]

The girls are being silly. Vivian and Pii are pretending Kiki is their old mother and they want to take her to get a massage.

Vivian and Pii to Kiki pretending to be daughters: Mum, you normally work so hard

Pii: We will take you get a massage

Vivian, laughing and pointing to where Simon is sitting: There's one here...

Pii yelling at Simon: Master! Master! 

---This is like a Chinese term of respect for people qualified in work, particularly those anicient arts, things like Kung-fu, prayer and massage--- 

[Pink caption: Mother and fillial daughters storyline?!]

Pii yelling at Simon: We've brought our mother for a massage

Kiki as the old mother: This must be the master?

Simon is sitting on the couch talking to someone and hasn't noticed them yet

[Blue caption pointing to Simon: The view of the Master's back looks familiar]

Vivian and Pii as daughters: This is the master

Kiki as the old mother: Is this master good?

-Cuts to Kiki still playing the role of old mother and making a request-

Kiki as the old mother: I want to add oil

Kiki as the old mother: Oil... Add essential oil...my favourite is the rose one

-Cuts to Simon turning around and responding-

Simon to the girls: Cast and crew right?

Simon to the girls: If it's the (whole) Cast and crew, there's a discount

-Cuts to Simon giving a massage to the director-

Vivian pretends to be a pushy customer and playfully hits Simon.

Vivian as customer: Hey, Number 30, I was meant to be first

[Pink circle caption: The people turn out to be like this]

Vivian as customer: I booked you first

Simon laughing: I am completely equipped, I tell you

They look at Simon's mini fan that he's carrying around

Pii: This is...

Vivian, laughing and pointing to his fan: This is your essential oil

Vivian: You've even prepared (by) carrying your essential oils on you

-Cuts to the girls laughing while Simon is walking away-

Simon walks next to Marcus and points to himself

Simon [pink caption]: Number 6

He points to Marcus

Simon [pink caption]: Number 7

They play clubbing music and pop a 'massage parlour advertisement flyer' on screen

The idea is Simon is a good-looking masseur god at the grand opening of this imaginary massage parlour they have all been play acting.

The flyer says:

[Black writing: Attractiveness index 100 points, Guaranteed to push (you) bit by bit until (reaching the correct) position]

[Red & Black writing going across Simon: Book number 6, Duan Mu Master]

---Duan Mu being the last name of his character, Qing Feng---

---Haha, why does this massage parlour advertisement sound so dirrrty?! -___-;; ---

One of the girls complimenting Simon: So hot

Simon does a spin with his rock on hand gesture and then walks away

[Red caption: Error!!]

-Cuts to Simon talking about his outfit-

Simon, talking about his clothes: This outfit is really cool

-Cuts to Marcus talking about their clothes-

Marcus: Today, we're walking with...

Marcus [Black caption]: The vibe of gangsters

-Cuts to Simon describing his gangster role-

Simon: I'll be acting as a masseur at a massage parlour

Simon: And then, the (gangster) Boss appears

Simon: To take me away

They tint the screen to create the feel of a gangster movie

[Blue caption pointing to Marcus: Immediately starts acting (the part)]

Marcus in mafia boss voice [Yellow writing]: Where is this month's rent?

But Simon isn't finished setting the scene and doesn't play along

Simon, still telling the story to the camera: I am that type of...I have seen before...

Marcus laughs [Pink speech bubble caption]: We haven't started acting yet?

The girls watching also laugh

Simon: Wait a sec, I want to finish telling the story first

Simon: In the past, I was also...

Vivian, cutely tottles up to Marcus and snuggles on him: I am the young wife

Simon trying to finish his story: Wait a sec 

Simon: In the past, I was a good-for-nothing prodigal son

[Green caption: In the middle of directing a play]

Simon: And then I was also cold and ruthless, that type of type of person

Simon: But I...have abandoned my life as an outlaw

Simon: Now I run a massage parlour

Vivian: Ok

Simon: But my 'brother'...he is still a gangster

Simon: This is the script

Vivian counts them into their scene: 5,4,3,2,1...action

They start acting the gangster film that Simon has in mind, The screen is tinted for old gangster film effect. Simon pretends to be massaging? ---it looks like typing to me though, haha---

Marcus as mafia boss: Qing Feng

Marcus as mafia boss: Haven't seen you in a long time

Simon looks dettachedly at him

Marcus as mafia boss: How's your hand lately?

Simon as masseur, in a detached voice: Lately, my hand...

Simon as masseur: ...hurts a little

Marcus as mafia boss: Same with me

Marcus as mafia boss: Lately, you ask me if my hand is good?

Simon pretends to look up at an imaginary worker at his massage parlour.

Simon as masseur talking to some lackey at his parlour: ...That... 

Simon as masseur talking to some lackey at his parlour: Give the boss the protection fee

---You know, the sum of money you pay gangsters to protect you from other gangsters. You're pretty much in debt to them for life. And if you don't pay it you will get bullied by them on top of other gangsters. It may surprise you all, but I'm a sucker for gangster movies---

Simon as masseur: Give it to him

Marcus as mafia boss, waving a hand at Simon in praise: Clever

Marcus as mafia boss: What I really want to say is...

Marcus as mafia boss [Red caption]: My finances, at hand, are a bit tight

[Yellow caption: Your 'brother' really understands (you)?!]

Simon as masseur: Take it then

Marcus as mafia boss pretends to put a note into Simon's hand: I'll give you back a note firstly

Marcus, motions to his back [Blue caption]: Help me to massage for a bit 

So ends the gangster film

Camera girl laughs

Simon [Green caption]: So it turns out..

Marcus laughs

Simon [Brown caption]: I really was here to gives massages...

Marcus grins and Simon actually starts massaging his back

Marcus, with a goofy grin and softening for Simon: A person's really good brother

-Cuts to Marcus really enjoying Simon's massage-

They've put a very light pink tint now

Simon is going for his shoulders

Marcus moans [pink caption]: Ahhh~

Marcus gives a relaxed smile at the camera

Meanwhile, Simon behind him, leans in reaaaal close

[Pink caption: Slowwllly gets closer]

And then Simon sniffs Marcus who gives him a weird look, suspecting something weird

---Haha, Simon what a weirdo----

---Also, has this just turned into a Boys Love drama?!---

[Purple and black caption: Breathes in extremely deeply]

Simon savours the scent and Marcus makes a what-is-going-on thinking face

Simon [Purple caption]: Scent of a man

Marcus gives an adorable smile

Simon: Just want to ask...

Simon [Blue caption]: Do you want to strengthen the part at the ears?

Marcus [Pink caption]: Ea...Ears?!

Simon: Right, the ears

There is a moment of silence while Marcus figures out what he means

Simon [Red caption]: You think we're just doing this in vein, do you?

---Not sure if I translated that phrase correctly. Not really sure what 做白means since I've never ever heard this expression before? I've translated it in the reverse 白做, which means in vein, but really not sure if that's right...if anyone knows, give me a shout out ---

Marcus and Simon burst out laughing

[Brown caption: How did the story line get this twisted XD]

2. Simon and Vivian filming when Qing Feng and Xiao En are preparing the work festivities [4:54-6:26]

Simon and Vivian are doing a take with Xiao En and a serious looking Qing Feng

Crew member reading out the scene: A Zheng Xiao En with no problems...

Crew member reading out the scene: Don't scare yourself

And then a bell or musical sound from nearby comes drifting into the scene

Simon is looking around...

Vivian looks at Simon.

Simon starts smirking

And that is the beginning of the end...

They both can't hold their expressions and bursts out laughing

-Cuts to Simon laughing into his fan-

He walks next to Vivian and starts talking to the camera

Simon: Did you all just hear the sound of the clock's ringing?

Vivian: We were half way through doing our lines, and then...

Vivian: It changed my expression...

Vivian: (I was) Deeply emotional and looking worried like this...

Vivian: And then this person suddenly hears the sound of the clock ringing like this...

Vivian starts making the tune of the bell: Deng-deng-deng...deng-deng...

Vivian jerks a thumb at Simon: He humphed out loud at me 

Simon: Yeah, like this

Simon shows the subtle repressed laugh sound he made

[Yellow caption: Humph!]

Vivian can't help laughing at Simon's expression

[Purple caption: Please don't force yourself?!]

Vivian laughs: After humphing, (I) discovered... we were still filming 

Vivian walks away and the camera follows Simon 

Simon laughs and turns to the camera

Simon [Pink caption]: (I'm a) Music person

Simon [Brown caption]: Can't help it

-Cuts to Vivian practising her lines with the bully friends and Simon being extra in the background-

Vivian as Xiao En: What? What?

Vivian as Xiao En: Are you currently suspecting me?

Kiki and Pii as bully friends: Yes!

Meanwhile, Simon has come up and noticed the camera is focused on them and he snakes into a gap between the girls where the camera can see him

[Blue caption pointing to Simon: This music person is a bit eye-catching]

Kiki as bully Susan: You really deserve to be suspected

Simon points at the camera

Kiki as bully Susan: Have a think carefully

Simon takes off his sunnies and looks straight at the camera

Kiki as bully Susan: Lately, you've really turned quite strange

Simon smirks as the camera does a close up on him

[Yellow sparkles animate and yellow caption: Various ways of being cool/hot]

Pii as bully Qiu Tian: Not only are you rarely with us

Simon takes off his sunnies again and does a modelling pose , glaring up at the sky

Pii as bully Qiu Tian: Now you've even turned into the CEO's woman

Vivian as Xiao En: What are you guys talking about?

Simon crosses his arms 

Kiki as bully Susan: Don't change the subject

Kiki as bully Susan: Hurry up and speak... are there some things you're hiding from us?

Kiki as bully Susan: Speak. What exactly...

Simon walks around the girls to be closer to the camera

-Cuts to the camera following Simon-

Simon: I am...

Simon [Green caption]: An investor (?!)

He walks over to where Vivian and Kiki are

Kiki [Brown caption]: Who are you?

Vivian, sweetly and gesturing at the pink fake cherry blossom tree next to her: Hello, hello!...Thank for sponsoring us this tree!

---Haha, she is pretending Simon is a sponsor, a silly thing they did in Episode 8 Behind the Scenes---

-Cuts to Simon's silly response in his new pretend role as investor-

Simon: I think you've got something wrong

Simon, pointing at the large real tree: I invested in this tree

Vivian sweetly: Ah! Sorry, sorry...

Vivian shoving Simon aside [Purple caption]: But you're blocking our camera angle

Vivian: Sorry, go that way

[Orange: Directly ushered away]

Vivian sweetly: Thank you, thank you...

Crew member actually ushering Simon away: Excuse us, Mister. 

Vivian calling out with a laugh so Simon can hear: Cut down that tree!

[Brown caption on Simon: Tomorrow he will have no scenes]

3. Practising the scene where Qing Feng rescuing Xiao En from bullies [6:51-6:58]

Director saying Simon's lines: Xiao En? Do you have time?

Simon as Qing Feng: Do you have time?

Director to Vivian: Hurry and run over here 

The camera moves over to where Simon and the Director are standing.

Simon is being silly and has his hands in prayer like a monk

[Blue caption: Qing Feng supreme master is calling]

Vivian as Xiao En: Yes!...Of course I have time!

Vivian runs over with equal silliness to Simon, her hands in prayer also

[Pink caption: Little apprentice En reporting]

---En as in short for her character name, Xiao En---

Vivian comes up to him with a laugh in the same pose

Director saying Simon's lines: I have some documents I want you to organise

4. Simon, Kiki and Pii being silly and talking about Simon's music stuff [7:09-8:00]

Kiki is once again being silly and singing and dancing to Simon's song, 'You & Me'

Simon, who always seems to be close by, hears and comes over
[Pink caption pointing to Simon who is coming closer: The real senior closes in]
Kiki turns around and see Simon: The real senior has come...

Simon [Blue caption]: In the future when I perform, I'll bring her along

Kiki: No, I tell you...
Kiki [Pink caption]: I've already screenshot this
Kiki points to Simon: He's already said this (before)
Kiki: He said in the future when he performs, he'll bring me along

End of Translations. Haha, I just love Simon, he's just a fun trouble-maker. Also, he's the guest star that Marcus has invited to perform at his Oxymoron concert, so I think this was a big hint that it was happening, haha!
