Marcus Chang 張立昂 invites Simon Lian 連晨翔 to cover Dance Monkey & get their Bromance on at his Voice Up Concert

Yesterday night Marcus performed his concert at Legacy in Taipei last night (Legacy is a pretty great concert venue by the way! I saw Jasper Liu perform there with his old band Morning Call back in 2016 and loved the indie vibes of the arts centre and gardens it is situated in.)

Marcus often invites the co-stars of his dramas to come perform with him on stage, so it was no surprise that his Lost Romance co-star, Simon Lian was there to join him for a cover of Jam Hsiao's Song 'Dance Monkey.' Jam Hsiao sang the mandarin version adapted from 'Dance Monkey' by the Australian singer song-writer Tones & I.

There's video footage of the performance, as well as interactions between Simon and Marcus:

Loving all the videos that media have put out of not only the performance but also the interactions between the two and the fans. A translation of the last video directly above, Simon jokes to the audience that the reason he got to come to this performance is because he begged Marcus for a long time. Simon said he really wanted to come and he kept telling Marcus over and over again. Marcus considered for a long time. He said that he even got on his knees to beg! (This is of course a joke and Marcus is laughing at Simon's exaggeration about wanting to come as a guest). Due to Corona times, Simon also mentioned that everyone was wearing face masks (apparently fans got them for the concert) and he joked about lining up to get one.

Marcus then asks the fans if they're happy, which they respond they are. Then he asks his audience as a joke, "Are you happy to see me or to see Simon?" to which the audience answers (but also Simon answers loudly) Marcus! Simon says he is also a Marcus fan. Marcus says he's joking - he tricked Simon to come along so that he would get more fans, though some of them would be there for Simon also. Marcus refers to a Lost Romance Behind the Scenes concept from Episode 7 that they are the perfect fried chicken meal deal. Simon jokes that Marcus is really brave to ask him - he says if you look at him, he looks like someone who has come to be a troublemaker, much to the laughter of Marcus and fans. Also Simon joked about causing trouble at Marcus' concert in the Lost Romance Behind the Scenes video from Episode 10.

Marcus joked that Simon looks like Aoran today and he had to take off the clothes he was originally wearing because of this. Simon said he deliberately chose an Aoran attire...He also said since Qing Feng doesn't exist in the real world he came to Marcus' concert to exist here for a bit. Marcus looks at himself and says that he's dressed more like Qing Feng and Simon is dressed more like Aoran. Simon agrees that they're kind of contradictory in their clothing choices.

An event host comes up and the boys ask who she is and she jokes that she's Xiao En who has gained a little bit of weight! But she organises a game between the boys to enact a domineering CEO scene. The event host says although Simon is dressed like Aoran, they will get him to play Xiao En. Simon is like "Me? Xiao En? There's are still lots of songs I an sing instead" Marcus jokes that it feels like he was messing with Simon when he invited him. They get Simon to pick an action to enact and the action Simon picks is 'Aoran lifting Xiao En honeymoon style up the stairs for that time.' Simon jokes that this has scared him and Marcus goes to take away the paper.

But the event host is only joking - the action is 'hand-holding with fingers intertwined.'  The hosts says they should rub their hands first to make it clean. From all the rubbing, Simon jokes "It's getting hot in here, we should take off our clothes!" - Much to the delight of fan girls everywhere. The host also says Marcus must say Aoran's lines to Simon (who is playing Xiao En): "Your hands are still so warm. Remember you promised that I only have to extend my hands, and I'll (always) be able to feel you. This is the greatest distance you'll be from me." The host makes a pretty dirty joke that though their hands are currently dry she hopes they'll be wet afterwards - but hastily adds 'wet with sweat.'

Simon pretends to lick his hand and says "Finally, I get to play the female lead" which makes both the host, the fans and Marcus laugh. Simon has lots of questions (eg. Left hand or right?) and after Marcus holds his hand, Simon says, "Pick me!" Some girls in the audience start chanting "Be together! Be together!" Which makes the hosts laugh and comment there's an Aoran x Qing Feng shipping. Marcus pulls Simon in close and says those romantic lines while Simon gazes at him. And once it's over Simon jokes that he suddenly felt like curling his leg around Marcus!
