Instagram Updates: Rainie 楊丞琳 and Will 潘瑋柏 go to Dinner and do a Facebook Live together

I don't know if it's news or gossip, but I'm posting this because it's cute. Rainie and Will caught up for dinner along with some of their other famous friends and agents and it was selfies galore. They also did a Facebook Live, with Rainie and Will trying to work out if anyone was watching them.

Rainie has many high profile friends which she hangs out with and Will is definitely one that tops the list. They probably see each other every few months at Concerts, Award shows or star-studded catch-ups. Both Rainie and Will always said that it felt weird to be making out when they were filming Miss No Good because they were really close friends in real life. Many actors say that, but don't really make the time to hang out after they finish filming together. So I'm glad it's true that Rainie and Will have a real friendship and even find time to hang out together outside of running into each other at Award shows.

Rainie Yang楊丞琳 and Joseph Chang 張孝全 Lend their voices to the Animated Version of Love You 醉後決定愛上你

Does anyone remember this drama, Love You (Or Drunken to Love You/ After being Drunk, I'll Definitely Love You)? One of my favourite SETTV/ Sanlih dramas of all times with Rainie Yang and Joseph Chang. This drama had the best music with Rainie and Yen-J, the opening credits were a dreamy sequence with Rainie and Joseph fated to run into each other, the on-screen chemistry was at times sweet and funny, and at other times...passionate and hot.

If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend Love You even though the drama came out awhile ago in 2011. Anyway, I'm just writing to say that there's been a working reunion with Rainie and Joseph, a new animated series. No surprises really as the show has been so popular since its release that it's made 1.4 billion dollars across novels, comies, games, DVDs etc. Love You has also recently been voted, by Asian netizens, as the most popular drama of the drunken lovers genre. I suspect that Sanlih were looking for a way to revive the Fated to Love You/ Drunken to Love You series as it was one of those dramas with crazy ratings, breaking 5 (They still had a giant poster of the drama hanging up in the Sanlih offices which I saw when I went to the Pleasantly Surprised fan meet in 2014).

I wonder how they're going to animate that making out scene?! They'll probably water it down. If you don't know what scene I'm talking about here's a small snippet of that passionate scene along with a funny interview where Rainie talks about how Joseph made sure she was OK with him making out with her before he got on with it. She gets flushed just thinking about it though!

Anyway, it's nice to see Rainie and Joseph working together again! Even if it is just doing voice-overs in the studio. They had such good chemistry. Before Love You, they worked together once a long time ago, but I think they played family members in their first drama. They also weren't super close when they started out, so their make-out scenes were super awkward to film. But they got on real well during the filming of Love You. Although Joseph is a little reserved at times, I liked all the behind the scenes for the drama because they would both play jokes on each other frequently.

Rainie even got Joseph to play her lover in her film clip for the song that was used in the Love You. The song was really great and the story line with Joseph added to the emotions. Joseph also turned out to Rainie's fan meet with some drama related gifts.

Here are some Behind the Scenes video of the making of the Music Video too, for those who might be interested or who love this pairing.

Anyway, here's Rainie and Joseph in the studio together and signing promotional posters for the animation. Since Love You, Rainie and Joseph haven't done many dramas. Rainie has focused a lot on her singing career, releasing 3 albums and doing a number of concerts, although she did do Sunny Happiness (Well, it got released after Love You, though it was filmed beforehand) and mainland drama, Love at Second Sight. Joseph Chang has been a gun at films, releasing pretty much 2-3 films a year. They look like they're having fun together, though Joseph looks tired. Apparently he had a sore throat and has been worked thoroughly through his tight filming schedule. Here's hoping they have a good time collaborating together again!

50th Golden Bell Awards 金鐘獎 with Rainie Yang 杨丞琳 and Will Pan 潘瑋柏

The Golden Bell Awards have rolled around again and this year some of the big names to hit the red carpet include Rainie Yang and long-time friend Will Pan. I've always loved Rainie and Will (and Dean Fujioka) since watching the drama, Miss No Good. They were so ship-worthy back in the day. Although they're not a couple in real life, they've had such a wonderful long-standing friendship that it makes me very happy to see them together. And they run into each other fairly often too at music awards and industry events. Rainie has included him in her concerts, and Will got Rainie to play his fed-up lover in a music video last year for his song 打呼 (Snoring. Haha, which I still haven't seen yet, but have heard about!)

The talk of this award show was Rainie's sexy plunging V neck dress (which she picked because it was the prettiest of what she had). Everyone joked that her fellow presenting friend, Will Pan was checking out her plunging neckline, which he did do as a joke...Of course, Rainie hit him for that! He also pretended to get out his phone to take a picture of it while Rainie was talking, because he said he had the best angle! There were also questions about where Rainie's rumoured (apparently indirectly confirmed) boyfriend Chinese Mando-pop singer, Li Ronghao was etc....to which Rainie avoided answering by asking people not to ask about it (in a friendly way). There was one interviewer (above) who tried to push his luck but Rainie made the interview awkward for him by saying that the should focus on the 50th anniversary of the awards instead of her personal life. Go Rainie!

Anyway, aren't these two lovely? I really loved Rainie's dress. Very classy and beautiful...and with Will Pan by her side, she also had herself some cute grunge arm-candy!

Instagram Updates: 50th Golden Bell selfies with Rainie Yang 楊丞琳, Will Pan 潘瑋柏, Melvin Sia 謝佳見, Jolin Chien 簡宏霖, Bolin Chen 陳柏霖 and more

There were some great A-list celebrity selfies going around for the 50th Golden Bell Awards. The favourite of the night would have to be Bolin Chen's selfie with Rainie Yang, Ariel Lin, Zai Zai and Will Pan....A shot with all the industry heavy-weights!

Another favourite of the night was the boy's shot! Both Bolin Chen and Will Pan posted this same picture on their Instagram accounts.

The guys from 4Ever (and from Pleasantly Surprised) also attended the grand event. 4Ever is signed onto Avex, the same company as Ariel Lin, so they often do projects and hang with Ariel. I've never been an Ariel fan (Why?! No reason. I just never got into her work) but she looked nice for the event. They also took some cute photos with their manager, Polina.

Melvin Sia's Instagram account had some cute group shots. His red carpet photo date was Tiffany Hsu and they both looked stylish the whole night. Good to see Tiffany having fun after her very public break up with Ethan Ruan at the start of the year.

Rainie Yang 楊丞琳 graces the August cover of Marie Claire Taiwan 美麗佳人

I really like these shots of Rainie for Marie Claire Taiwan, which depict her in an Americana setting, looking cool and collected, posing which a vintage car. Rainie has long been my favourite in terms of fashion, film clips and dramas. I also think that she's becoming more and more of a style icon as the years ago by. She's less crazy experimental these days and more chic and slick. All I can say is I'm loving it :)

Instagram Update: Taiwanese Celebrities support the legalisation of same sex marriage in the U.S.

I love Taiwan for many reasons...but one of the main reasons is because it's a country full of very progressive, open-minded and friendly people (from what I've experienced as a tourist.) And I'm glad to this this is reflected in my favourite Taiwanese celebrities.

Yesterday and today many celebrities celebrated the legalisation of same-sex marriage in the US by illuminating their Facebook and Instagram Facebook pictures with rainbows stripes. Although I myself am not same-sex oriented, and many of these celebrities aren't either, I'm glad we're all celebrating equality. Here are a few of my favourite celebrities that showed their support:

Rainie 楊丞琳 and Jasper 劉以豪 collaborate for Rainie's 點水 MV

Ahhh!!! I love Rainie...And what's better than Rainie and Jasper?! I have to admit I haven't followed her for many years due to her break from the drama world. While I do like Asian music, I tend to go for the indie tunes rather than pop songs and ballads.

But I have always liked Rainie ballads...They're usually sad, but not overtly soppy for my tastes. And when I found out Jasper was going to be the love interest in her new MV, I was like, I must share it with the world! You can watch 點水 (Translation: Drop of water) here:

Jasper also posted an instagram photo from when he was filming with Rainie. It's cute and I don't mind this brief pairing. I wouldn't mind it if Rainie went back to dramas and got paired with Jasper either...

Are you a Rainie - Jasper fan? :D

Instagram Updates: Rainie Yang 楊丞琳 and Will Pan 潘瑋柏 Catch Up Backstage at the 2015 Hito Pop Music Awards Hito流行音樂獎

Aghhhhh!!!! It's been so, so, so long since I've caught up with any Rainie or Will news, but it looks like they've caught up with each other in the meantime. These are some shots of them earlier in the year, hanging out backstage at the 2015 Hito Pop Music Awards. Not really Instagram shots, though I first discovered them on Instagram.

Looks like no time has passed since they did the drama Miss No Good together with both looking like their immortals (Don't these two ever age?!) and still remaining very close friends.
